Noura Bishay – Park to Bay (American Institute of Architecture 2018 Film Challenge submission)
The project that connects one of the biggest parks in San Diego “Balboa Park” to the Bay. It reunites three low-income communities and four parks. This project supports social equity in our city through urban planning and architecture. It encourages walkable and promotes healthy living styles. It also aims to decrease the pollution created by the freeway and the Port of San Diego by adding more trees to the highest polluted area streets for we all breath the same air. The projects aim to inspire, heal and empower the community by emphasizing the character of the city, reminding us of the culture, tradition, and history of this community.
